I found this feature super useful when it came to working out how to use the device best for me; I can honestly say the whole experience is pain free!HOW DOES IT WORK? The Philips Lumea Prestige uses IPL technology, which uses gentle pulses of light to progressively reduce the re-growth of hair, putting the root into a resting phase. When used every two weeks for an eight week period, the treatment has been shown to reduce hair growth by up to 92% (bloody marvelous huh?!).HOW DO I USE IT? For added convenience you can now use the new Philips Lumea Prestige both corded and cordless. Using the device corded speeds up the frequency of the flashes to once every two seconds, making treatment time 1.75 times faster, meaning you can now treat both lower legs in 8.5 minutes without the need to recharge the device between treatments! UNDERARM ATTACHMENT:
The underarm attachment features a slightly smaller window (3cm), and a convex curve to help women get more consistent contact with the skin under their arms! TRUST me when I say this attachment doesn't hurt nowhere near as much as you'd think!
