Hello 2022: Goals & Plans For The Year
Taking a closer look at some goals & plans for the year ahead!...Happy New Year you beautiful bunch! (Pretty sure it's too late to say that now, but we'll stick with it haha.I actually love a New Year and a fresh start (cliche, I *know!), but I like the feeling of sort of wiping the slate clean and starting again! I always love the Christmas holidays, we spent SO much time, sleeping, reading, walking, watching Netflix and catching up with the family that by the time January rolled around I was READY to get going again!I've struggled a little to get back into the swing of things work wise (our house reno is GO GO GO on the other hand so that's keeping us busy!), I'm also looking to turn my #ShareThisChristmas charity campaign into a year round charity / foundation, so there's lots going on... I'm just wondering how I clone myself 3 ways to get everything done haha!I spent a lot of time over the holidays thinking about what I wanted from 2022, from my physical & mental health, to work plans and dreams - I thought I'd round up a post of what I'd love from this year (P.s I know that this time of year can seem totally overwhelming with "goals", if you don't have any that's absolutely FINE - you've got to do what's right by you!I'm trying to leave mine quite open as I'm not really the type of girl to have fixed goals and to be super disappointed if I don't achieve them, these are more just loose ideas for the year that i'd love to stick to! Okay lets have a look at how I'd like 2022 to shape up! x
A Year Of No Alcohol:
Am I crazy? Maybe. My family and friends seem to think so anyway, haha! Whilst I wouldn't say we are huge drinkers, we're definitely social drinkers and enjoy a few wines whilst out for dinner or catching up with friends. Over the Christmas period I'd realised that I don't *actually like drinking that much (oh go on then, apart from a chilled glass of rose in the summer!), I don't like feeling out of control and I HATE hangovers so I've decided to knock alcohol on the head this year and go teetotal! A few of you reached out to say that you've done the same before and loved it!
A Healthier Me:
Whilst were on the health chat, I'm looking forward to getting my health and fitness back on track this year. Back in September 2020, I joined The Six Pack Revolution to feel great ahead of my 30th and to be completely honest, it was the best thing I've ever done! The 75 day programme changed my life and I've never felt so healthy as when I was on the programme, so I'm back on it from Jan - March! Check it out HERE! *Gifted.
Set Up My Charity:
At Christmas time I run a charity campaign called #ShareThisChristmas where I round up products that I've kindly been sent from brands throughout the year but haven't used, along with products and samples sent in from the lovely brands I work with. I collate all of the products together in one place then distribute them to charities that need them, for instance all of the beauty products and toiletries I dropped off to our local Hygeine Bank, warm clothes and luxury products I'll take to a women's refuge and blankets / pillows etc I dropped off to our local homeless shelter. I realised over Christmas that I don't just want this to be a Christmas charity but something that I can help people with year round, so it's one of my goals this year to set that up!
Less Time Online:
Tell me I'm not the only one who gets out of the shower and sits in my towel on Instagram then BAM 45 minutes has passed?! With my job being online, whether it's working from my phone or computer, I'm super conscious that I spend a LOT of time online, my headspace always feels clearer and healthier when I spend minimal time online, so my goal for this year is to read more, be more present & set clearer boundaries for myself. I leave my phone in a drawer from around 7pm - 8am to make sure I'm having a big block of downtime where I'm not online!
More Hobbies:
This goal bounces nicely off of the last, with spending less time online - I'd like to get more *actual hobbies (not sure shopping counts haha). I've booked myself onto a 5 week local pottery class in March which I'm super buzzed for, I'm also going to do a local sewing course too, I'm going to take some more time to live my best creative life this year and I cannot wait! There we have it my loves, my plans & goals for the year - as I said they're more personal reflections rather than hard core goals, but I'm basically striving for a calmer, happier and healthier me - and that's all I'm focusing on for 2022!What are your goals for the year? I'd love to know!Hayley xo
