Our Hallway Makeover With Dulux

Sharing our recent hallway makeover with Dulux!

Hallway finished - 7

Last year I had the pleasure of attending an event at the Dulux Academy with 5 other wonderful interior influencers - it was by FAR the best event I've ever been to! It was so hands on and just well, fun really!

We had a presentation and explored the new Dulux range (including their colour of the year, Tranquil Dawn!), we were then each given a cubicle where we had complete free range on designing - using whatever paint colours and techniques we'd picked up from the event, safe to say - I was in my element!

I'd fallen in love with a few shades (Forest Green, Archive PapersHeart Wood and of course Tranquil Dawn), so those were the colours I used for my makeover - we were also allowed to pick out mirrors, chairs, and accessories to dress the room - it really was so much fun!

Here's a closer look at the event and my cubicle makeover! What do you think?

My finished cubicle - I was so happy with the result & loved playing with colour!

It was at the Dulux event that I first came across (and instantly fell in love with) Forest Shade! I'd previously painted our hallway dark green from another paint brand, but it was just SO dark it didn't look right for the space - I was holding out for the perfect shade, I felt like I'd hit the jackpot when I discovered Forest Shade at this event, I instantly knew it was the colour for our hallway!

Let's take a look at our hallway before (pretty much our whole house was magnolia from the previous owners!)...

Evidence of me trying out a million testers to find the right shade haha!

What do you guys think?!! I honestly, honestly couldn't be any happier with the transformation if I tried! I read somewhere recently that you should have a little fun with your hallway and that it's the space you want to make an impact as it's the first thing your guests will see - I really think this colour makes the most incredible impact and I LOVE the way the light hits the colour!

Next up I need to paint the ceiling and woodwork just to tidy it all up, but I just couldn't wait to share this transformation with you guys!

I'm SO thankful to Dulux for a.) inviting me to the most wonderful event and b.) introducing me to Forest Shade - it really WAS love at first site and I think the colour works perfectly in our home!
