So, things got a little crazy around here didn't they?!

With the outbreak of the Corona Virus spreading in the UK, lots of us are self isolating and currently working from home.

I wanted to put together a post on creative things that you can do whilst at home (I know some of you are working, but some of these could work well in the evenings / weekends whilst at home!).

Don't get me wrong, I know LOTS of people are planning just Netflix and chill, and catch up on some much needed sleep and rest (which is absolutely deserved might I add!).

For me, I know if I'm feeling a little anxious, rathe than just being on my phone, I like to get creative! Whether it's journalling, learning to play the piano or picking up a paint brush, it takes my mind off of current affairs and stops me absentmindedly scrolling on social media.

I feel like we all have those 'things' we'd love to do, but in everyday life claim we're too busy to do, whether it's brushing up our language learning skills, or taking an online course - now we have the time to do those things, so let's make the most of our time at home!

I hope this list helps inspire you guys to do something creative during this period!

1.) DIY - pick up a paintbrush and give a room / object a new lease of life!

2.) Learn a language - now we've got the time to brush up on our language skills!

3.) Take that online course - if you've been meaning to do an online course but haven't gotten around to it, NOW is the time!

4.) Learn to play a musical instrument - pick up that guitar or work on your piano skills, if you have an instrument at home, get practising!

5.) Get journalling - each morning I'm starting the day off by writing everything I'm grateful for in my journal, it helps to keep my mind positive!

6.) Read a book - I adore reading SO much, I devoured 3 books on holiday and will be using this self isolating time to get reading!

7.) Draw / paint - I LOVE painting & drawing, it's so therapeutic to me! If I'm feeling anxious, I turn off my phone and pick up my pens / a paint brush and get creative - it's a great way to keep your mind occupied!

8.) Make a vision board - Get some old magazines together and make a vision board - get everything on there that you'd love to envision in your future!

9.) Re-work your wardrobe - with Spring around the corner, why not give your wardrobe a re-shuffle, pick out some key pieces you'd love to wear, plan outfits and bag up some stuff to donate!

10.) Learn a new skill online - there is SO much free information on Google / YouTube and Pinterest, why not teach yourself some photography skills? Or learnt to edit images in Lightroom? Teach yourself a new skill from the wealth of free information online!

What are your favourite creative things to do at home? I hope you feel inspired to get creative with your time at home!

Love, Hayley x
