24 Magical Hours At The Lost Retreat in Suffolk

Fresh back from a trip to The Lost Garden Retreat with Canopy & Stars, I'm so excited to share the last 24 hours!

**I was kindly invited on an overnight press trip with Weekend:IN &  Canopy & Stars, where we were learning about conscious gift giving this festive season through workshops. Disclaimer - I have not been asked to share this blog post, nor was I asked for any specific social media content. However, we had the best time and I LOVED stayed at The Lost Garden Retreat (and I know you guys would love it too!), so I wanted to share our experience! :)

I wanted to share our wonderful overnight stay at the idyllic The Lost Garden Retreat as it was the PERFECT country escape in Suffolk and I just know you guys would love it too! There's four lodges, each sleep 6 people, so you can hire the whole place for 24 if you're looking for a big group / party etc or just the one if you're looking to book for 6 people and take a trip with your family / friends!

The lodges are all family friendly, and are complete with a roll top bath, log burner and private hot tub on the decking. Each lodge has a cute decor theme, we stayed in The Cowshed and we loved it!

I've been finding that lately I've been craving the countryside SO much! All I want to do is switch off my phone, go for long walks in the country and some nice pub lunches and good company. I feel like working online / alone has massively impacted this and this trip absolutely fed my soul with all of the country time I was craving!

Only thing is, it's got me craving another trip, almost immediately haha! I adored spending 24 hours in the lodges with Weekend:IN and some lovely bloggers but it was one of those trips where I just wanted to stay longer!

3 nights would be perfect here to really explore the grounds (the lodges are set in a whopping 24 acres!), we got to meet the owner Richard who chopped down some of the surrounding trees and built all four lodges by hand with the help of his 76 year old pal, incredible huh?! The next plan for Richard is to build a treehouse within the grounds so watch this space!

This was actually my second trip with Canopy & Stars (Ben and I stayed at Loose Reins in Dorset a few years back, have a read of our stay HERE), I love the concept of retreats that let you connect with nature, from shephards huts, to treehouses and safari tents - you name it, Canopy & Stars have it! With over 750 properties, both in the UK and Europe they really are the go-to's for retreats!

A HUGE thank you to Weekend:IN for putting on such a wonderful overnight event at The Lost Garden Retreat! We did two awesome workshops, one with The Workbench London where we carved our own rings from wax, which will then be filled with silver (or gold!), and casted into your dream ring, hand made by you!

The Workbench offer kits where you can make your own rings (you get two waxes per box) that would make AWESOME presents this Christmas (you can also order their wedding kits if you'd like to design your own wedding rings / partners ring!).

The second workshop was with The Positive Bullet Diary, where we were kindly gifted our own Bullet Diary, we spent an hour or so doodling in them and making plans in our calendars! I've honestly missed being creative so much that I'm already so excited to get using mine and planning out 2020 (albeit VERY colourfully!).

The Positive Bullet Diaries are designed to help people get into mindfulness, just taking that time out of each day to draw and write rather than aimlessly scrolling on Instagram / our phones!
