Five Simply Be Dresses I’m LOVING This Summer!
[ This post is sponsored by Simply Be ]
Good morning my loves! With Summer in full swing it was time to give my wardrobe a little re-jig and bring some of my favourite pieces out! In Summer I’m an avid dress wearer – they’re so easy to wear, and also keep me cool which is key when London is in the throws of a heat wave!
I’m super excited to share today’s post with you all, as I’ve teamed up with my favourite brand; Simply Be to showcase my five favourite summer dresses – I’ve covered five different styles so there’s something in there suited to every occasion, whether you’re looking for a picnic dress, something that’s more suited to both day and night or a dress for chucking over your bikini.
I have to say that Simply Be is my go-to dress-tination, (well they’re my go-to for most things actually including incredible fitting swimwear and lingerie, cute accessories and comfy shoes – I’m always browsing their new in sections).
For me one of the key things I look for when I’m shopping online is a.) how something fits, and b.) how something makes me feel! Being a curvy size 12-14, I sometimes struggle to find tops / dresses that fit properly across my chest and don’t stretch open or pull at the bottoms, Simply Be are my go-to brand because I feel like they understand the issues I face and they cater for it!
Everything I’ve ever ordered from Simply Be fits like a dream, and makes me feel like a GODDESS! I always feel my most confident when something fits really well, there’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable in what you’re wearing, as I feel it shows!
You want a killer dress that you feel AMAZING in this Summer, so you can get out there girls and flaunt it! With that in mind, let me show you my top five Summer dress picks from Simply Be!...
Look One: The Tea Dress
I absolutely adore this dress and was shocked when I saw the £38 price tag as it looks WAY more expensive! The pinched waist and square neck line is so flattering and a style that I absolutely love, it’s the perfect length too if you’re looking to attend a fancy occasion like Ascot or a wedding!
Look Two: The Bardot Dress
This dress fits like a DREAM and I really feel like it flaunts my curves and clings in exactly all of the right places! It’s a stretchy material so perfect for dining and drinks (it’s NOT about tight dresses when you’re out for dinner and trying to enjoy your meal whilst your dress is digging in!).
I love an off shoulder dress as I think the cut is super flattering on the shoulder / neck – also, how cute is the frill detail along the top of the dress?! For me, this dress is the perfect transitional piece that you can wear during the day but pop on some block heels and chunky hoops and you’re ready for a night out!
Look Three: The Slip Dress
Talking of transitional pieces, this leopard print slip dress is another great example of a day to night dress! I’ve styled it here over a simple black tee and black sandals, complete with a straw bag for a perfect summer daytime look, but if you’re heading out in the evening, just slip on some heels and remove the tee, add a clutch and you’ve got yourself a sexy date night outfit!
Look Four: The Boho Dress
How gorgeous is this boho dress?!I have to start by saying that it is just SO comfy! It’s got an elasticated waist which is your perfect partner for eating & drinking! I love the bohemian look and would wear this dress out on a picnic with my girls, or on a super hot day as it’s loose fitting and ideal for the heat!
Oh, and it’s in the sale for just £19 – you can thank me later! ;)
Look Five: The Shift Dress
I think every summer wardrobe needs a gorgeous shift dress (especially one as cute as this with Daisy’s on it!). Shift dresses are the perfect throw on piece, whether it’s paired with converse for running some errands, or thrown over a bikini, shift dresses look great and are an easy outfit that you don’t need to think about!
I’ve styled all of my outfits with these gorgeous black slip on buckle sandals as they look great with any dress (ALWAYS make sure you have a versatile pair of black sandals in your wardrobe as they’re so easy to throw on with whatever you’re wearing and you’ll know they look great!), and this cute straw bucket bag, I adore the gingham lining – the perfect picnic bag, no?! I’ve styled my looks up with these gorgeous twisted gold hoops and a simple makeup look complete with beach waves!
The BIGGEST thank you to Simply Be for helping me get summer ready in my five new favourite outfits!Which dress was your favourite? Have you shopped at Simply Be before? What makes you feel most confident?
