What It Was Like Visiting Walt Disney World For The First Time

Sharing my experience of visiting Walt Disney World for the first time in my life, as an adult!
Like many others, my childhood was filled with watching Disney movies and forever dreaming about visiting Cinderella's castle one day!
I recently took my first ever trip to Walt Disney World at the ripe ol' age of 28, and wanted to share my experience of what it was like to visit for the first time as an adult! Kat and I loved every moment of being at Disney, I didn't really know what to expect but our two days at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom surpassed any expectations I had!
If you're thinking of visiting Walt Disney World but feel like you're too old or you can only visit if you have kids, then you are utterly WRONG. Disney is the PERFECT place to let your inner child run wild and there is NO judgement because everyone is in the same boat! We saw countless adult parties celebrating hen do's, birthdays and taking holidays together and there wasn't a child in site!
Here's a little insight on my first ever experience at Walt Disney World as an adult!...
Seeing Walt Disney World through adults eyes: It was so incredible to witness Walt Disney World through an adults eyes, from the incredible attention to detail, to the roller coasters and grandness of the parks.
Appreciating everything so much more: As a child I imagine I'd have been rushing around so excited I'd have barely paid attention (okay so I'll admit I was *actually rushing around like an excited five year old still haha!), but I felt like I could really take everything in and appreciate the parks so much more.
Being able to enjoy the rides: As a child, as much as I would have loved to visit Disney and begged my dad to take me every year, I was actually a bit of a wuss and doubt I would have gone on any of the rides, instead just clinging to my dads leg whilst watching the roller coasters whizz round. It was so cool as an adult to go on all of the rides, and appreciate the parks in all their glory!
Watching the children experience the magic: Kat and I enjoyed every second of being there and for me one of the highlights was watching other people with their children, the looks on their little faces was utterly priceless! It's made me so excited to one day take my own children and witness them experiencing the magic of Walt Disney World for the first time!
Enjoying the shops and restaurants at Disney Springs: I've raved about Disney Springs a couple of times in my other Florida posts but oh my god we loved it so much! There were countless incredible shops and restaurants if you're looking for some Sushi and a glass of wine, or to take a break from the parks and enjoy some retail therapy!
Dining and shopping at Disney Springs!
Visiting Animal Kingdom: We spent our first day of the parks at Animal Kingdom and I felt like I could fully appreciate and enjoy every aspect, from the Animal Safari in Africa (which was incredible by the way!), to riding the Flight of Passage in Pandora (insaneeee!). Even though I would have adored Animal Kingdom as a child, there was so many aspects that I loved witnessing for the first time as an adult!
If you're thinking of visiting Walt Disney World but unsure of whether you're 'too old' then TRUST ME when I say there is no such thing as too old for Disney! We had the most incredible time and I can't wait to return one day! :)
There we have it my loves - my third and final post about Florida! I really hope you've enjoyed the content from mine and Kat's EPIC road trip - we had an absolute blast! Florida exceeded any expectations I had and I'd love to go back and explore some more one day!
