How To Feel Body Confident This festive Season With Simply Be
Sharing my two favourite party looks from Simply Be for the festive season, and some tips on how to feel confident!
Another Christmas, another season for partywear approaches and I am EXCITED! I absolutely love festive dressing, the more sparkles, glitter & sequins – the better!
I’m so excited to be partnering with Simply Be this year to bring you two party looks for the festive season, especially because Simply Be asked their customers and community to send in some questions on party styling so we could create some inspiring looks for the festive season!
One of the questions from the customers was; “I feel like I have lost my style, how do I get my sense of fashion back for the party season?”, I chose to base my blog post around this question as it resonated with me and I feel it’s something every girl can related to at some point in their life!
I wanted to share my top three tips on how to feel confident in whatever you wear this party season and talk you through my two looks that I picked out from the Simply Be party range (and why I felt so good in them!).
I shot these looks in Vegas recently during our road trip and I felt SO sassy wearing each outfit, for me confidence is the sexiest thing you could ever wear, but to be confident – you need to feel AMAZING in your outfit!
If you feel like you’ve also lost your sense of personal style this party season; then here are my top three tips on how to get it back in time for the festivities!...
1.) Work with what you know: Being honest here girls, we all know our body shapes and what we feel good in. If you feel sexiest wearing a good cut jean – then go with that! If you love wearing a figure hugging dress to flaunt your curves – ROCK it! You can definitely be a little daring with prints, colour, and styling up your outfit, but I would plan your outfit around what you KNOW makes you feel amazing. Don’t just wear something because it’s a trend if you feel awful in it, confidence shines through so go with what you know and get sassy with colours and accessories!
2.) Be bold: Be bold this festive season, wear that sequin top you never thought you’d wear, rock that red dress or glitter heels! The best part is wearing a statement piece.. is exactly that, it makes a statement! Don’t feel shy to step out of your comfort zone and wear something that will make everyone go wow!
3.) Go for investment pieces: As you can see I bloody love these glitter heels, for me picking versatile pieces is key as I know I can wear them with multiple outfits, and they’ll still be good in years to come! If you find a killer dress or a pair of heels that will make any outfit then order them and make the most out of them!
What I wore from the Simply Be party range and why I felt so good in the pieces I chose!...
What I wore: Studded Bodycon Dress - £45 | Glitter Heels - £32
Outfit 1: First up I’m going to talk about this Balmain-inspired black and gold studded dress because OH MY GOD is it not the most amazing dress you’ve ever seen?! I wore it for a night out in Vegas and felt like a goddess! It’s high neck and super flattering, but it’s a comfy material and not too fitted (aka there’s PLENTY of room for the Christmas buffet girls, don’t panic!).
Priced at just £45 this dress is an absolute steal – it’s the perfect statement dress that you can add to your festive wardrobe, you don’t need to go too fancy when styling this dress as the dress does ALL of the talking! I opted for this black glitter heels to add a little sparkle and tie in with the gold on the dress!
What I wore: Black Lace body - £40 | Snake Print Shirt - £35 | Pencil Skirt - £25 | Glitter Heels - £32
Outfit 2: I order this gorgeous black lace body (it’s a control bodysuit, so it can be worn again under dresses/ fitted items or styling it as a key piece like I have as it’s so pretty!), I layered a snake print shirt over the top as I’m LOVING animal print right now and it adds a little colour!
For the bottom, I selected this stunning faux leather look pencil skirt – a great shape flaunting piece that’s dead comfy too! You can wear the shirt open over your outfit, or if you’re a little conscious of your mid drift then tie the shirt loosely over your stomach to make you feel more confident! Again, paired with the beautiful gold glitter heels (a MUST for the party season as they can be worn over and over and again – making a statement every damn time!).
There we have it guys – my top tips for how to look and feel confident this festive season, as well as my top two party looks from Simply Be!
Which outfit is your favourite? Are you looking forward to dressing up this party season? Would you wear either of these outfits? Which piece is your favourite?
