Sharing an insight to the beautiful Sandals Grande St. Lucian resort after spending six days in paradise!
Where? Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort in St. Lucia
Having just returned from a trip to the lush island that is Saintt Lucia - I absolutely couldn't wait to share our trip with you!
~First things first, I was invited on this press trip with Sandals and the Saint Lucia tourism board to experience one of three Sandals resorts, and see what Saint Lucia the island had to offer!
I have to say, when the email landed in my inbox it was a total *pinch me* moment! I've previously stayed at the Sandals resort in Barbados and have honestly raved about it since (I was adamant that I would get married there for about a year and NO I'm not engaged yet haha, I was just so in love with the property. I mean I still am, and would still absolutely get married there!).
I was super excited to discover a new Sandals resort and see what this new resort had to offer and how it compared to the Sandals I'd previously stayed at!

One of my favourite things about Sandals is that the staff are so genuinely kind, and go out of their way to make you feel at home! When you arrive at the resort, the staff will turn to you and say "welcome home" - it's a lovely, personal touch!
We arrived to the hotel and were kindly shown to our Lover's Swim Up Honeymoon Club Level rooms, which were incredible! The swim up connected to one of the 7 swimming pools (yes 7!). My room had a bath tub and I was honestly *so happy about that as I love a good bath to relax in the evenings! In every Sandals resort, you'll find your mini bar fully stocked with champagne, spirits, wine and soft drinks, which is a part of the all inscluive package and will be re-stocked daily (nope, I couldn't believe it either!).
With 12 on site restaurants and 6 bars, you'll be able to try something new every day (and LOVE it!), from a Jerk chicken shack, to dining on the beach, an overwater restaurant and even a London pub - there really is something for everyone!
What's better than 12 restaurant options?! 27 restaurants of course! Sandals St Lucia have a 'play at one, stay at three' programme where you can hop on a complimentary daily mini bus that will run you between the other two Sandals resorts in Saint Lucia; Sandals Halycon Beach and Sandals Regency La Toc which between them offer another 15 restaurants that you're free to try out!
If you're thinking of booking Sandals Grande St. Lucian for your honeymoon (which I'd highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!), then why not opt for something special and book one of the over water villas?! They are truly something else, complete with a 24 hour butler, overwater hammocks, a soaking tub on the decking, smart TV's and walk in showers!
I genuinely cannot put into words just how amazing these over water villas are, from the ocean inspired decor to 24 hour butlers (who will run you romantic sunset baths, unpack your suitcase, stock the bar with your favourite alcohol - these guys really are the business!), there's also a glass panel at the bottom of the bed which lets you look straight down into the ocean and watch the fish feeding. This place is PARADISE and somewhere I would absolutely spend my honeymoon!!
The thing that sets Sandals apart from the crowd to me, is the fact that they pride themselves on the small things that really make a big difference!
When we checked in, we had to fill out a form and it asked if you are celebrating, I popped down that it was my birthday two days prior to our arrival, and sure enough the very next day I was welcomed back to my room with a bottle of Champagne on ice, some fresh flowers and birthday cake! If you're looking to book Sandals to celebrate your engagement, birthday, honeymoon or any special occasion, I can rest assured that the incredible staff will go out of their way to make you feel like royalty! You can't put a price on that kind of service!
