I’m just going to throw it out there and say that the food in Bali is OH MY GOD SO GOOD!!

If you’re looking to eat clean / have a digital detox / just eat ALL of the goodness then Bali is absolutely the place for you!

They’re super hot on clean eating, Vegan restaurants and Acai bowls and I was absolutely HERE FOR IT during my five weeks in Bali. I actually made it a semi mission of mine to try out as many acai/smoothie bowls as I could as I love them SO much!

I can honestly say that the smoothie bowls in Bali were some of the BEST I’ve ever eaten, so I decided to round up my top five for you!...

1.) Crate, Canggu

If you know about Crate, then YOU KNOW. This place is utterly delicious (I’ve vowed to myself that if I ever moved to Canggu, I’d work my way through the whole menu!). Everything is super healthy, full of flavour and this place is a HOT SPOT in Canggu! It’s pretty much always busy no matter what time you arrive, but you won’t have to wait long as the food comes out super quick!

I ordered:

Sal juice – 40K (around £2): Fresh strawberry, apple and lime juice.

Why so Ceral smoothie bowl – 55K (around £2.70): Peanut butter, banana, coconut shreds, cacao nibs... delish!

Banana bread – 30K (around £1.80): Their banana bread is to die for, great on it’s on or to take away for a snack.

2.) Nalu Bowls, Canggu / Seminyak

Nalu bowls is super simple and understated yet delicious! You’ll find Nalu Bowls in Canggu which is more like a beach shack, the one in Seminyak is a part of Shelter cafe (lots of other amazing options to eat if you don't want a smoothie bowl!).

My visit to Nalu Bowls in Canggu was my first ever breakfast in Bali, I rode with a local to meet Lucia and ordered an Iced Latte and the J-bay bowl. The smoothie bowls here were super fresh and yummy, a must try! I also visited the Nalu Bowls in Seminyak which is actually a part of Shelter café (another must that’s popular with bloggers/Instagrammers!).

 I ordered:

Iced latte - 50k (around £2.50)

J-bay smoothie bowl - 70k (around £3.50): peanut butter, banana, honey & soy milk.

3.) Kynd Community, Seminyak

Okay so I’m 99.9% sure that you’ve seen Kynd community already, AKA every bloggers wet dream! This place offers up a pink wall with palm leaf prints where bloggers/influencers flock to take their pictures against (rest assured, I also took my picture here!).

Not only is Kynd popular amongst influencers and tourists for the way it looks, but the food is DELICIOUS too! The menu is pretty extensive and it took Lucia and I a good 15 minutes to decide what we wanted. We actually opted for a breakfast dish each which we shared AND a smoothie bowl between us because we just couldn’t make a decision! Kynd Community is slightly more expensive as it’s always so busy & popular, but I thought it was worth it, we had a great breakfast and I’d definitely recommend/go back!

 I ordered:

Passionate Love Cooler 45K (around £2.50): Strawberry, passionfruit & soda

Whole coconut - 30K (around £1.60)

Berry Tropical Smoothie bowl - 73K (around £4.00): dragon fruit, banana, mixed berries & coconut water. Topped with home made granola, strawberries & bananas.

4.) Café Organic, Canggu / Seminyak

Café Organic is another hot spot amongst the cool kids and bloggers alike (you’ve most definitely seen the interiors on your Instagram feeds!). Lucia and I went for a leisurely brunch one day and I ordered the Afrika smoothie bowl which was super yummy! Whether you’re in Canggu or Seminyak, Café Organic is a must for all things healthy, delicious and nutritious!

 I ordered:

 Ice latte – 29K (around £1.50)

Afrika smoothie bowl - 65K (around £3.50): Cacoa, organic peanut butter, maca powder, cashew nuts, chocolate chunks, banana, granola, coconut flakes & vegan caramel... YUM!

5.) Kelly’s Warung, Uluwatu

Ahhh I LOVED Kelly’s Warung, Lucia and I stayed there for two nights – it only cost around £7.50 each per night for a shared room!). It was a super simple beach shack style guest house with just four rooms (you can only book via their Facebook page HERE). It was popular with surfers and locals, and the food was delicious!

We ate at the restaurant mostly during our trip because there’s about 289648625824 steps to get back up to street level BUT the food was delicious so we didn’t feel the need to go elsewhere! If you’re in Uluwatu (Bingin Beach specifically) then definitely check out Kelly’s Warung for their dragon fruit smoothie bowl! Sit and watch the surfers whilst the waves roll in and you eat your breakfast.. it’s heaven!

I ordered:

Dragon fruit smoothie bowl - 70K (around £3.75)
