I've been so excited to share my incredible stay at 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok with you all since I returned from Thailand. The hotel is a part of the Small Luxury Hotels group which I'm a HUGE fan of; you'll find luxury boutique hotels with an edge over at SLH - they're always my go to when travelling! When I initially booked my trip to Phuket I wasn't planning on visiting Bangkok, I've been twice before, but both times had been fleeting visits as I just didn't love the city and saw it as more of a stop-over destination. It's crazy, loud, hectic, all of the things I just didn't seem to enjoy.
Then I had a change of heart, and realised that I hadn't ever really given the city a chance, my first ever experience of Bangkok was my first taste of travelling six years ago when I spent six weeks exploring Thailand. I stayed on Koh San road... anyone thats been will know that it's not a *real representation of Bangkok, so I decided to go back with an open mind and a fresh set of eyes.
Truth be told, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the city this time around.
A large part of that is down to an incredible stay at 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok! This boutique style hotel is located in the Thanglor district (close enough to get to all of the good spots, but far enough out of the city centre that it doesn't feel chaotic!).
From the moment I arrived at the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok I was completely sold! From the plush decor, to the incredibly friendly staff, the marble bathroom, and the rooftop pool - this hotel just felt like it was a million miles away from the Bangkok I'd once known. A calm sanctuary in a jungle of chaos! Let me share with you exactly why the hotel helped completely changed my view on Thailand's capital city!...
137 Pillars Suites & Residences offer 34 luxury suites; all of which come complete with a spacious balcony and an incredible view across Bangkok's skyline, a walk in wardrobe (I mean I'm sold!), mood lighting, butler service, the most amazing circular bath you've ever seen and luxurious 400 thread count bed linen. I told you the rooms were amazing!
If you're looking to head to Bangkok on business or plan to spend longer in the city; then definitely check out the residences and serviced apartments available at 137 Pillars Suites & Residences!
The hotel is located in the Thanglor district; jump in one of the hotels free London cabs down to the Emdistrict for some serious shopping at EmQuartier or Emporium shopping malls! I spent a lazy afternoon wandering around the shopping centres with a bubble tea and it was the perfect way to escape the afternoon heat!
If you're wondering how to spend your mornings whilst at the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences; then there's only one answer - the rooftop pool!! There's one rooftop pool at level 27, and another, more intimate pool (pictured on the left) for suite guests - there's great big sofa beds which you can spend the day relaxing on, or soak up the views of the skyline - the views of the city were breathtaking and I genuinely chose to spend about 80% of my stay spent in the pool!

Another huge selling point of this stunning hotel for me; is the dining and luxe bars on offer! The Marble Bar (picture below) offers poolside cabanas to relax during the day or an oasis to escape the vibrancy of Bangkok below by night. If you're looking for something more relaxed then the Bangkok Trading Post Bistro & Deli is the place for you; offering a relaxed cuisine, incorporating the finest traditions from Asia and The West!
If you're looking for something more plush then the Nimitr restaurant is for you; Nimitr in Thai means 'special dream' so expect to be in for a treat of Oriental cuisine! Enjoy after dinner drinks at Jack Bain's Bar; dedicated to the colonial gentlemen from 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai!
