Oooooh productivity; my old friend (or not because procrastination is my middle name and I struggle to get all of the things done LOL!), being a blogger that works from home, I go through dips and surges with motivation and being on top of work. One thing I sometimes struggle with is settling into a routine as no two days are ever really the same, from travelling to train journeys, shooting on location, meetings in London to work from home. There's always 'something' that needs to be done so I always try to stay on top by working on the go; here are my top five tips on how!...
What I'm wearing: Roll neck - Primark | Skirt - Primark | Watch - Henry London | Boots - ASOS | Bag - Gucci
1.) Plan your day - Whenever I'm spending the day in London I'll always schedule in some free time, I tend to group all of my meetings/events into one day so I can get more done, but I'll always try and work out a two/three hour slot where I can just pitch up in a cafe, do some work and catch up on my notes for the day! Lately I haven't stopped wearing my Henry London Stratford watch (how lush is that green face/rose gold detail though?!), it helps me to stay organised on the go and it's such a versatile piece that goes with so much in my wardrobe right now!
2.) Utilise your time - This one for me is so key as I'm on the go a fair bit, I live around an hour from London so if I'm know I'm heading into town for meetings then i'll always utilise the hour long journey each way by scheduling social media, planning content, writing posts or catching up on emails. Likewise if I know I've got an 8 hour flight ahead of me then I'll set aside some images to edit or some posts to write so I can make the most of my time. I always carry a notebook and pen with me so I can jot down ideas whilst on the go and I always use the notes in my phone too to write lists and blog posts as I can email them onto myself.
3.) To-do lists are your friend - Ahhhhhh I'm a Virgo and we just bloody LOVE lists! They don't work for everyone but they absolutely work for me; I often feel like my mind is going 285696282 miles per hour and I always need to jot things down, whether it's a content idea or an email to send, and invoice that needs to be drafted or a shoot idea - I just love a list. Every morning I'll always make a list and work through it throughout the day; if I'm travelling or on the go I'll always make a separate list of things that are achievable away from my computer like catching up on emails or scheduling social media.

4.) Schedule in down time - As much as I love to utilise my time when on the train or travelling, I also know it's so important to have some kind of down time. When I used to work in London I used to love my train journeys because I'd always read so from time to time I put my phone away and take a book on the train, it's so nice to have some offline time and it always makes me feel more creative and inspired after I've had some time away from my phone and the internet! Be sure to schedule in some down time to feel more productive in the long run!
5.) Be inspired - Again, another 'offline' point but sometimes in an age where we rely so heavily on social media and our phones, I really love to just put my phone away and wander around a museum, or just sit and people watch. I think it's so important to be inspired by what's going on and the people around us as opposed to just scrolling through Pinterest/Instagram. Some of my best blog posts are actually sparked from conversations with friends or PR's as we'll start chatting about a topic and I think 'I can feel a blog post coming on' and just run with it!
"Oh darling, you are more than enough" - I decided to get my watch engraved so I can carry this message to myself around everyday! Get your Henry London watch engraved HERE!
