A Foodies Guide To: Barcelona
Sharing my favourite spots to eat (and drink) in one of my favourite cities; Barcelona!
1.) the good burger
2.) firebug
3.) brunch & cake
4.) flax & kale
1.) BEST FOR: QUICK LUNCH/BURGER LOVERS - THE GOOD BURGER
We actually stumbled across this place by accident when we were both having cravings for sweet potatoes fries, and luckily we found them! We spotted The Good Burger and decided to give it a try, OHMIGOD it was SO good! If you’re looking to grab some quick lunch, somewhere GOOD then definitely head here! I’d compare the burgers to Five Guys/ Shake Shack… if you’re a burger fan then this is a must for you!
Where? Ronda de la Universitat, 13, 08007 Barcelona, Spain
Price? I paid €4 for a pulled pork burger with onion rings and €3 for sweet potato fries - super affordable for a quick lunch and super delicious too!
2.) BEST FOR: A DELICIOUS BRUNCH & HOT CHOCOLATE - FIREBUG
This gem was also recommended to us and we had the most DELICIOUS chorizo hash for breakfast and a Hershey’s hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows (yup, it was bladdy AMAZING!), the service, food and price at this place was just incredible! Oh, and the decor is adorable too, we opted to sit outside as it was super hot so we could catch the breeze, it's a great spot if you want to people watch whilst brunching'!
Where? Passeig de Sant Joan, 23, 08010 Barcelona, Spain
Price? Expect to pay around €5-12 for a breakfast dish and our hot chocolate was only €3 too!
3.) BEST FOR: AN EPIC BRUNCH - BRUNCH & CAKE
AN-ABSOLUTE-MUST if you’re visiting, oh my goddddddd the brunch at this place was INSANE! One of my best friends recommended that we visit and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! It’s a super healthy joint with a great array of options from Acai bowls, to superfood salads, bagels, fresh fruit and eggs - oh, and the portions are ridiculously HUGE! I didn’t see anyone with a completely empty plate during our visit. Brunch & Cake have two locations in Barcelona, as well as a Cup & Cake spot too - we didn’t try out any of the cake… that’s on the list for next time!
Where? Carrer d'Enric Granados, 19, 08007 Barcelona, Spain
Price? We found the food in Barcelona was super reasonable and this place was no different, my breakfast was €10 and only €4 for a Mimosa (rude not to on holiday, right?!)
4.) BEST FOR: AFTERNOON DRINKS - FLAX & KALE
Flax & Kale was recommended to me on Twitter but we actually stumbled across it one afternoon, we'd been doing some shopping near Passeig de Gracia and fancied a cheeky glass of bubbles so we stopped by! We didn't eat as we'd not long had brunch but the food looked AMAZING! It's a super healthy joint so definitely head there if you're into clean eating, or you know €4 glasses of rose prosecco, let's face it - who isn't?!
Where? Carrer dels Tallers, 74B, 08001 Barcelona, Spain
Price? Food prices start at around €3 and run up to about €17 for bigger dishes, a glass of prosecco will cost you €3/4 - wohoo!
