The room: During my stay at the W I had a 'Cool Corner Room - Hudson View', my favourite part of the room was definitely the view, waking up and being able to look out across the Hudson was incredible! I had huge bay windows and on the first day I got to the hotel there was an EPIC snow storm so I pulled the chaise lounge over to the window and built a den with the quilt and loads of pillows and just read my book, watching the snow fall over my favourite city... BLISS!
From the huge, squishy bed to the rain shower, lush Bliss toiletries and epic view, it honestly felt like the best home-from-home hotel I've ever stayed in! The thing I love about the W (ALL of the W hotels I've stayed in) is that they're always so beautifully designed, the staff are uber friendly but it never feels pretentious, it really does feel like home; and that was such an important factor for me when travelling solo especially!
The view: As I mentioned above; the view from my room was just INSANE and by far my favourite part of the hotel! I had a Hudson view but the hotel also offers a view of Times Square (pictured above - image from W Hotel). The corner rooms start from floor 26 to 57 so the view you'll have over the city will be incredible and definitely worth the extra money when booking your room!

The location: Situated in Times Square; in the very heart of Manhattan - this hotel couldn't have a dreamier location to be honest! I know that some people don't like to stay in touristy areas such as Times Square; but being completely honest I think it's the best place to stay! Don't get me wrong; during the day I'll be walking around Soho; Brooklyn and the Meatpacking district to discover new places but of an evening I love being in the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city that never sleeps! It was a great location for broadway shows, plenty of restaurants and there was a fab cinema close by too!
The bar: I abso-bloody-lutely loved the bar! Now, it might seem silly to add it to one of my top five points but TRUST ME, any bar in any W hotel will be banging! They host some of the worlds top DJ's, have epic parties and themed nights, delicious cocktails and an incredible ambience - I would highly recommend visiting! One night I took my book to the bar (hello Nancy No-mates!), and had a couple of cocktails and it was such a lovely evening! I felt so relaxed; the vibe was buzzing in the bar yet it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy your evening!
The decor: Now, I've raved about the W Hotels before, and I'll rave about them again! The decor is always so luxe and sophisticated but there is ALWAYS a super-cool edge to every hotel I've stayed in. From incredible art hanging on the walls, cool key cards, sequin pillows.. you name it.. they've thought of it! The W Hotels to me, don't seem like a conventional hotel chain, or any hotel chain for that matter; they're more like a lifestyle brand, doing cool things and pushing the boundaries, which keeps me coming back every time!
