Gal pals; I NEED to talk to you about my recent trip to Madrid (and no, not the fact that I thought I was going to a different country.. LOLZ), about the hotel; we spent two nights at the stunning Only YOU Hotel Atocha, but were also fortunate enough to visit the beautiful Only YOU Boutique Hotel Madrid for the most INCREDIBLE lunch and to grab some snaps. So; if you're planning a city break to Madrid anytime soon, then seriously, look no further!...
So, I'm going to kick off with the Only YOU Hotel Atocha because that's where we stayed so I got a better feel for the hotel (although it was truly love at first site!), the hotel reminded me kind of the Hoxton hotel in London; it was super edgy and cool but the decor was luxe. You could instantly tell it was the 'cool place to hang out' for locals and tourists alike; with an on site Bakery, free WIFI, champagne welcome and incredible work space.. who wouldn't want to hang out here?! Not to mention the fact that the hotel is incredible value for money, with prices starting from just £111 (€130) per night!
Let's take a closer look at the hotel...
The cool partnerships: As I briefly mentioned; the Only You Hotel Atocha has some awesome partnerships running, during our stay Seagrams gin had taken over the hotel, with live jazz music straight from NYC (which was incredible BTW), and a pop up bar serving up delicious gin cocktails *HUBBA HUBBA. In terms of food Katz had taken over the restaurant upstairs and were offering up true American style hot dogs platters.. can I get a hell yeah for any NYC-partnership?! Throughout February; Brooklyn's cocktail bar Clover Club has taken over (yup, already making me want to book a flight back ASAP!). What to expect from the hotel: A contemporary, yet luxe hotel in the heart of Madrid; you'd think it would be pricey, right?! Wrong... with prices starting from just £111 per night, this hotel is super affordable, super cool and pretty much the ONLY place you'll want to/need to stay in Madrid! Upon welcome, you'll be greeted with pick'n'mix and champagne (say no more right?!), the staff were truly wonderfully and we were shown to our rooms; from Zebra print dressing gowns, to a luxe bed that you could roll over in at least 4 times, to a Hollywood style dressing table complete with a lighted mirror making you feel like a star!
I was genuinely SO impressed with the hotel; I fell in love with it and every corner I turned or room I stepped into I found another detail or addition that I adored. You could tell that so much thought had gone into making the hotel so unique and it really did stand out to me; if I head back to Madrid anytime soon; I honestly can't see myself staying anywhere else! In terms of what you get for the value; it's simply outstanding!
Only YOU Boutique Hotel: During our trip we were lucky enough to visit the Only YOU Boutique Hotel which is the sister hotel to Only YOU Hotel Atocha. We stopped by the hotel for a tour and the most delicious 3 course meal wine some crisp white wine (pretty sure my bodily fluid was 99% wine by the time I'd arrived back in the UK!). This hotel was simply stunning and I adore the design aspect of both hotels; the Only YOU Boutique Hotel was the kind of place that felt romantic; the kind of place I'd love to take Ben for a long weekend, to enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst feeling loved up. Yet the Only YOU Hotel Atocha is somewhere I can see myself taking a solo trip to explore the city; or heading back with my girls for a long weekend. I absolutely adored both hotels, but for completely different reasons, I felt like they both had a completely different vibe, but were both equally as stunning in their own rights!
