PHUKET MARRIOTT, NAI YANG BEACH RESORT, THAILAND

During our visit to Thailand last December, we spent our last two nights at the stunning Phuket Marriott resort on Nai Yang beach, and oh my god this place was just simply breathtaking, from the very second we arrived! You know people say 'save the best for last', well yeah, that kind of happened (unintentionally but it was just SO amazing!), let me show you why...

Checking in: Marriott Nai Yang Beach Resort, Phuket...

Our arrival at the Marriott Nai Yang Beach resort marked the very end of our trip, so we were both super sad that it was nearly over. However, once we'd stepped foot on the property we both couldn't believe our eyes, with it's luxe Thai decor, breathtaking sea view and wonderful staff; we knew that we'd truly arrived in P A R A D I S E. We were welcomed with drinks and cold towels then shown to our room (see more on that baby below); we were just so excited to be at the hotel and couldn't wait to start exploring and getting to know the hotel better!

The Hotel...

This hotel has everything you need; it's super luxurious and beautifully designed, yet it didn't ever feel pretentious, we felt at home and it was just wonderful from start to finish. The staff make you feel so very welcome, no task is to big for them to ensure that you enjoy your stay! The hotel offers daily activities down on the beach complimentary for guests, we did Kayaking and it was so much fun! You'll also find the Quan Spa at the hotel if you're looking for a little more relaxation; book in for anything from a couples massage, beauty treatments or a full body scrub or massage... sounds so dreamy, right?!

Dining at the Andaman Kitchen and Big Fish...

Every morning we'd kick start our day with the most incredible buffet at the Andaman kitchen, I've genuinely never seen a spread quite like it! From cooked eggs and breakfast, to arrays of fresh fruit, pastries, juices, noodles, baked goods and fresh smoothies. There was so much to choose from (Ben would have stayed all morning if he could haha!). Cooked eggs and a fresh fruit smoothie... what better way to start your day?

On our first night at the hotel, we took a slow walk down to the Andaman restaurant from our room and had the most wonderful meal; I ordered fresh red snapper; cooked in chilli and garlic (yes, I can confirm it was as delicious as it sounds!), and Ben ordered a Caesar salad to start followed by steak!

On our last night at the hotel (and in Thailand.. *sob), we booked into the Big Fish restaurant, which overlooks the sea and is the most romantic setting when dining for two! The staff were absolutely incredible and helped us pair our drinks with our delicious meal! I ordered slow braised lamb shank and Ben had a Lobster dish, we followed our meal with a salted caramel tart and OHMIGOD it was delicious!!

Our very last night in Thailand saw us soaking up as many rays as we could by the luxe pool before we headed back to the airport to embark on our nearly 24 hour journey home! Before we left the hotel we stopped off at the Big Fish restaurant to enjoy their more casual daytime menu; we both had burgers and chips (pictured below) and it was genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever eaten - it was just so good and really set us up for our journey back home!

Accommodation...

During our two night stay we were so lucky to book into one of the resorts Beachfront Villas; complete with a private plunge pool, a garden terrace and stunning traditntal Thai luxe decor. The room was simply stunning and took our breath away from the moment we entered; it really was so stunning! The icing on the cake for me had to be the private pool though; I'd hop in every morning for a dip and take a book with me - that was my happy place!
