Having just landed from an 8 day trip to the breathtaking country of Costa Rica with British Airways; surprisingly the one thing that I loved the most about the country and what I can't wait to share most with you guys - the wildlifeCosta Rica is genuinely unlike anywhere I've ever visited in my life, the country was so lush and green, I've never felt so overwhelmed (in the best possible way) and in awe of nature before!

It's not uncommon to spot a Sloth, a Toucan or a Cayman whilst kayaking or taking a boat ride along the river in Tortugeuro, or to see a snake slither past whilst enjoying breakfast - we even shared dinner with a raccoon one night too! Wildlife isn't something that I've ever really shared on my blog or something that I've thought I'd be 'in to' - but oh my, Costa Rica had changed me, and here's 13 pictures to prove it will change you too...

  1. Monkeys! The above White Faced monkey was spotted in the National Park, completely unfazed by us taking pictures (I'm actually thinking she's quite digging the posing.. VOGUE anyone?) and the below were caught hanging around by our hotel; Pachira Lodge in Tortuguero!

2. Baby turtles! - we were lucky enough to catch this little fella hatching and making a break for freedom! Only 1 in 1,000 are estimated to survive so we walked him to the beach to protect it from vultures - at least he has a little more chance of survival now as there's so many odds against them!

3. Sloths! I was so incredibly excited when we spotted this little guy just chilling in the tree! We'd literally just stepped off of a charter plane to Tortuguero and he was just there waiting for us - the cutest animals… ever?!

4. Birds! With around 840 species of birds living in Costa Rica, you'll be sure to spot a fair few around! We spotted these little guys along the river bands in Tortuguero whilst on a canal boat heading to the town!
