Where? The Graduate Hotel, Granta Place, Mill Lane, Cambridge CB2 1RT

Last night Ben and I had the absolute pleasure of spending a night at the Graduate Cambridge, located on the banks of the River Cam - the hotel is in a prime spot for exploring the picturesque city of Cambridge (one of my favourite in the UK as it's just brimming with so much charm!).

Graduate Cambridge has 148 room; we stayed in one of the "Graduate Riverview King Rooms with a Balcony", the decor was beautiful, where injections of the English countryside meets hotel luxe.

Let's take a closer look at our stay!...

Arrival and our room...

We were treated to valet parking, a warm welcoming reception at check in then it was up to our rooms for a shower & to get ready before dining at the hotels restaurant; Garden House!

Our room was adorned with botanical wallpaper, reminiscent of the beautiful English countryside, with touches of wood, printed furnishings and mood lighting, it was love at first site!

The food: Garden House

During our stay we were fortunate to dine at Garden House, the hotels new contemporary restaurant. With Adam Wood, formerly of London’s award winning Perilla leading up the kitchen - trust me when I say you're in for a TREAT!

We had the most exquisite meal and already can't wait to return one day soon! To start I ordered the Beetroot salad and for main course the roasted Cauliflower with a side of french fries, each course was cooked to perfection and washed down with a mocktail, a recipe for a wonderful Friday night.. quite literally!

The hotel:

The hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation, including the interiors of the rooms (adding touches of "Cambridge blue"), as well as the fitness club, common spaces and pool. I was blown away by the decor, it was super cosy and inviting, but luxury and unique too - truly the perfect blend!

The lobby is also home to a hanging DNA installation to celebrate Rosalind Franklin, a pioneer in the development of DNA at the University of Cambridge (see above picture - such a lovely statement piece in the hotel lobby!).
