Spending a long weekend at Bainland lodge Retreats
Sharing our recent long weekend at Bainland luxury retreats in Lincolnshire!...
Where? Bainland Lodge Retreats, Horncastle Rd, Woodhall Spa LN10 6UX
*PR STAY*
Ben and I have just returned from the most GLORIOUS long weekend at Bainland luxury lodge retreats in Lincolnshire, just an hour and a half from us here in Norfolk, it was the perfect destination for a long weekend retreat!
From the moment we checked in we felt so at home & seriously relaxed! We had the pleasure of staying in Bear Lodge, one of six lakeside lodges for two, complete with a hot tub on the deck over looking the lake, a rainfall shower & a cosy log burner, this lodge was the perfect spot for a long weekend!
After such a busy couple of weeks we've been looking forward to this break for such a long time, and it was everything we hoped for and more!!
We went for lovely long walks, enjoyed the hot tub, watched Harry Potter / Home Alone by the fire, snuggled up reading our books with a coffee, had some red wine of the evening & just relaxed - it was PERFECT!
I'd love to share a little bit more about Bainland / the lodges & why it's NEEDS to be on your radar for your next UK staycation!...
What you can expect from Bainland...
Bainlandis a family run luxury lodge park, set in 45 beautiful acres of Lincolnshire countryside near Woodhall Spa. Each year Bainland are expanding and pushing the boundaries by adding exciting new lodges, working with renowned interior designers such as their long standing designer Karen Robson and a recent collaboration with Linda Barker!
Currently being refurbished during our stay was the "The Nest" Treehouse which is Bainland's first tree house, I am SUPER excited to see finished! At Bainland there really is something for everyone, if you're looking to relax then this really is the place for you - take long walks in the day and soak in your private hot tub at night!
If you have children or are looking to get slightly more active then there's bikes to hire, Archery, a climbing wall, tennis courts, a swimming pool and MORE! (you can check out the full range of activities HERE). On site you'll also find Goats, hens and rescue llamas!
If you're looking for food at Bainland then the new restaurant The Copper Goose Bistro & Bar has you covered! Ben and I ordered our food from the restaurant each day, from the comfort of our lodge we ordered via the app and within the hour food is delivered to your door (or your morning coffee which was an absolute BONUS!).
Our neighbours for the weekend consisted of Ducks, Lamas and Goats... bloody lovely! :)
A Greener Bainland...
I'm so happy to learn that aside from Bainland being one of THE most relaxing and wonderful UK staycations we've ever had, the lodge park has also spent the last few years making conscious changes to be more environmentally friendly which is just incredible news!
Under the guidance of Chelsea Flower Show gold-medal winning landscape designer, Jody Lidgard, the 45-acre country park is undertaking an ambitious reforestation and rewilding programme to plant over 1,500 trees and has implemented a no-mow policy to encourage wildflowers which is truly wonderful!
Above & Below: The English Garden Villa (sleeps 24)
Upon arriving at Bainland, we were fortunate enough to have a tour of the site by a lovely member of the marketing team! We were shown around The English Garden Villa - a luxury villa sleeping 24 people (HOW much fun?!), the 12 bed all-ensuite villa comes complete with a 10 metre heated outdoor pool and a tennis court, a large fully equipped kitchen and it's pet friendly too!
I love the idea of hiring a large villa for family / friends - it would make the perfect spot for a hen / birthday / occasion weekend! (it also works out super affordable when you split it between that amount of people too!).
One thing that I absolutely LOVED at Bainland, was the gorgeous interiors, designed by Bainland's interior designer Karen Robson, I loved the mix of patterns and colours, everything felt so well thought out & designed!
Plan a visit to "Kinema In The Woods" whilst at Bainland!
If you're planning a trip to Bainland lodges soon, then I'd highly recommend a visit to "The Kinema in The Woods", a cute cinema which originally opened in 1922, is just a 5 minute drive from Bainland and the perfect spot to catch a film on the weekend!
Ben was watching the Man United game on Sunday so I booked myself a ticket to watch House of Gucci which was fab, a lovely afternoon!
We had the most wonderful stay at Bainland, we've both come home feeling so well rested & ready to tackle the rest of a busy year!
We're already planning our trip back and would really love to visit with our friends / family and book one of the larger lodges! (we may also sneak back for a lovely long weekend of relaxation again because it was so dreamy!).
If you'd like to check out more and look at booking a stay at Bainland; you can do that HERE!
*This was a PR stay - thank you SO much to the wonderful team at Bainland for a truly wonderful weekend, we had the best time!
