Hey my loves, I wanted to share how I upcycled these bedside cabinets in a blog post so I could post a step by step for you all!

I am SO happy with how they turned out! I actually upcycled them for one of my best friends as she's buying her first home this month!

I picked the cabinets up on Facebook Marketplace for FREE (so chuffed), and I had the paint / everything I needed here, so it didn't cost anything other than my time!

I wanted to share these with you all in the hope that it inspires you to get upcycling! We're always led to believe that we need to buy new / new is best, but I wanted to show how that's not the case!

I've been LOVING getting my DIY on lately, so expect to see lots more from me! <3...

Step One:

I picked up this pair of white bedside cabinets from Facebook Marketplace for FREE (people are getting rid of stuff all the time, I usually check once a day to see what's on there!), you'll be able to pick up some cabinets for £10 or under if you can't find any for free!

Step Two:

Once you've got your cabinets, it's time to select your colour! I ADORE Frenchic paint and have used it on all of my upcycling projects lately! Here, I used Frenchic Lazy Range paint in "Loof", I gave the cabinets 3 coats with around 3/4 hours drying time in between each coat! I love their Lazy Range as you don't have to sand / prep, just paint!

Step Three:

Lastly, once your paint has dried, I removed the old handle and used one of these gold T-bar handles that I bought in a pack of 10 and had left over from our bathroom makeover (they were £11 for 10 which is SO cheap!).

I then measured the size for the inside of the door, and cut down this burlap table runner which I also bought from Amazon / had left over from our bathroom makeover!

Et Voila, the cabinets were finished! It didn't cost me a thing as I had the materials here and it was super fun to make!

What do you think? I'd love to know what you're upcycling at the minute?! Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see from me!

Love,

Hayley xo
