Sharing my top 7 things to do in Liverpool this Summer; with something for every taste!

Last month I took an incredible two day trip to Liverpool with my bestie and Visit England to check out the city for the very first time! I wrote a blog post on how to spend 48 hours in the bustling city; and today wanted to share my top tips on 7 of the best things to do and see in Liverpool this summer! Oh, and if you haven't already visited, then why not?! You won't regret it!

1.) Visit Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet: Okayyyyy so not *technically in Liverpool but only around a half hour drive away, this designer outlet is a MUST if you're spending time in Liverpool this summer as it's just so close! Packed full of designer shops such as Burberry, Kooples, Michael Kors and SO many more - you're guaranteed to walk away with some bargains here (or a whole boot full in my case... OOPS!). Oh, and if it's raining (because ya know British summer time and all that jazz) then there's plenty of restaurants that you can hibernate from the weather in between shopping!

2.) Browse the vintage shops of Bold Street: Bold Street was by far my favourite street/area in Liverpool! Packed full of cute cafes, vintage stores and record shops - Bold Street in the sunshine is a must! Well, even if there's no sun then it's still a must because there's just so much to see and do here! Stop off for a bite to eat at Leaf or Love Thy Neighbour in between checking out the vintage stores, both offer great service and the most delicious food!

3.) Visit the Liverpool Cathedral: The Liverpool Cathedral is just the most stunning building and I think this is a great must-see whilst in the city as it's perfect for all age groups! I would highly recommend buying a ticket to head to the top of the tower as the view across the city is phenomenal; especially in the summer! Spend an hour or so taking in the cathedral then walk to 92 Degrees coffee for a coffee & cake pit stop post exploring!

4.) Take a musical trip through time with the British Music Experience: This exhibition was one of my favourite things that we did during our trip, it was honestly like walking through time (music was a BIG deal in my house hold growing up!), and it was so amazing learning all about my parents favourite bands from the 60s up until current day. Some highlights had to include seeing original Oasis lyrics - seriously so cool, my dad was so stoked when I sent him a picture! This is a must visit for any music junkie; but even if you aren't really into music, it's still well worth a trip for the costumes and memorabilia alone!

5.) Wander around the shops at Liverpool One: Liverpool One is Liverpool's most notorious shopping centre; but, the best part?! It's partially outside making it the perfect summer shopping destination! They also offer an incredible array of restaurants outdoors too which makes for some awesome al fresco dining in the warmer months; from Jamie's Italian to Wahaca and Five Guys; Liverpool One is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon wandering around the shops!

6.) Dine / Drink / Stay at the Titanic Hotel: We spent two nights at the Titanic Hotel and LOVED our stay! This hotel is seriously the place to be right now; and through the summer months too of course! They have a gorgeous outdoor area at Stanley's Bar & Grill which is the perfect place to lunch on the docks, or whether you fancy heading down to their Rum bar ahead of a night out with the girls - this hotel is one to note for your visit to Liverpool; even if you aren't staying there, there's so much going on this summer!

7.) Dine at Mowgli for some Indian Street Food: Okay so I absolutely had to include Mowgli because this was our favourite place we dined at in Liverpool (and actually some of the best Indian food that I've ever eaten in the UK!). This restaurant is a MUST if you're in Liverpool (they actually have two restaurants in the city so take your pick!). The perfect restaurant for a date night or night out with friends; but be sure to book as it gets busy!
