Hotel ADLER Thermae Spa & Relax Resort, Strada di Bagno Vignoni, 53057 San Quirico d'Orcia, Siena, Italy

Oh my GOD, Ben and I have honestly come back from the best weekend EVER (we've truly fallen in love with this hotel and have planned our trip back next year already!). It was one of those things where we didn't know quite how much we needed the break and detox until we were there! I'm ALL for a digital detox every now and again (especially as our jobs see us spending up to 10/11 hours a day on computers and our phones!). We've found the BEST place to have a digital detox and my goodness I'm SO excited to share this one with you guys! <3So, let me set the scene here...I decided to book a surprise weekend away for Ben, we'd both been super burnt out towards the end of the year with work and I thought some quality time together was overdue. I'd been speaking to the wonderful team at Adler Thermae resort in Tuscany and the two seemed to just pair perfectly. And the rest they say is history.I booked our flights and confirmed accommodation, Ben knew we were going away but had no idea where - he thought we were taking a long weekend away in the UK so was completely shocked when I woke him at 4am to tell him that we were heading to the airport to fly to Tuscany. We'd both wanted to visit Tuscany for the longest time and were so, so incredibly excited! This was actually my first time ever in Italy (no, I can't believe it's taken me 27 years either!!), and oh my god I was not disappointed. You know when you visit somewhere and it's EXACTLY how you imagined, and so much more?! Well, that was exactly what happened when we arrived in Tuscany. After the most hellish journey EVER (I won't go into it because it gives me anxiety just thinking about it), we finally landed in Perugia where we met our driver and set off on the scenic hour and a half journey to Adler Thermae.Now... I'd seen pictures on the website and done some research into the hotel so I knew it was beautiful, BUT nothing could honestly prepare me for quite how breathtaking it was IRL. From the second we arrived Ben and I were obsessed, and started talking about our return visit next year (genuinely don't ever think we'd seen our room by this point haha!). It's one of those places that just made the most overwhelming first impression it took my breath away!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Room: We stayed in a beautiful Single Suite - the icing on the cake for me was the balcony and panoramic view across the rolling Tuscan hills (WHAT better view to wake up to, right?!). We had a HUGE (and dead comfy) King Bed, a beautiful bathroom which looked onto the bedroom and free WIFI. Our room felt really homely and very traditional to the region... we honestly could have stayed forever and can't wait to return!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Hotel: Adler Thermae is one of Italy's leading spa and wellness hotels (once you visit, you will absolutely see why the second you arrive!). From the relaxing atmosphere, to the most BEAUTIFUL spa I've ever seen, incredible food, wonderful staff and just overall serene ambience! The hotel is set amongst Tuscany's rolling hills and is THE place you need to visit for deep relaxation and feeling a more refreshed - it's so easy to burn the candle at both ends, this hotel is the BEST place I've ever been to reset the buttons. I felt pure relaxation whilst there, and came home feeling rejuvenated and ready to go!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe spa and wellness: Okay, it's time to have your mind blown kids! The second Ben and I arrived we were like kids in a toy shop, running around looking at every sauna, pool and relaxation room the hotel had to offer. We were honestly blown away and I have to admit the images don't do the hotel justice; from the thermal pool to the panoramic sauna and beautiful gym (who knew gyms could be beautiful?! Trust me, this was one!), I could absolutely see why this hotel was one of Italy's leading hotels for spa and wellness! I'd never felt so zen in my life and was pretty much ready to move in!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAActivities at Adler Thermae: As if the spa hasn't tempted you by the hotel enough already, then I need to share something really blood great with you all! The hotel offers daily activities, from Yoga classes, to bike tours, wine tasting and hikes so you can really make the most of the beautiful settings and surrounding areas! Oh, and the restaurant sells the wine that Adler produces in their own winery - how amazing is that?!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Food: If I'm being completely honest, I'd return to Adler Thermae just on the basis that the food and wine was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Everything we ate or every incredible wine that was recommended to us was just unreal, oh, and don't even get me started on the desert made daily by the on site patisserie (one night I had a peanut butter and chocolate tart and I'm still not over it!).OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe surrounding area: On the Saturday during our stay we took a trip to the beautiful town of Pienza for a stroll around, it was so wonderful to see another stunning view of the rolling hills! We also took a trip to a local winery and it was quite possibly the dreamiest Saturday I've had in a while!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
