Playing a tourist in my own town and trialling out the new Huawei Mate 10 Pro to capture our day!

Who else is guilty of this? Rushing around popping to the post office, the supermarket, running some errands but not *really taking in what's around you.The cool new cafes popping up, the independent boutiques you've been meaning to check out, the new florist that you're dying to pick up a bouquet from.I'm the worst when it comes to taking for granted exactly what's on my doorstep!When Amy and I went to Leeds and we told everyone we were from Essex and they were like 'oh cool, that's TOWIE town' and we just wanted to bang our heads against a wall and be like 'THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO ESSEX THAN REALITY TV', I love where we live and it has some real gems to offer.So, I decided to spend the day with my step mum, playing tourists in our local town and checking out a lush new brunch spot, picking up some flowers, having a stroll along the seafront and ended with some prosecco and desert (because why not right?!) at our favourite local hotel!Safe to say we had the D R E A M I E S T day and it felt so good to really appreciate what we have right on our doorstep! HOW OUR DAY STARTED: BRUNCH AT TOPPERS & TOAST

Tucking into the worlds prettiest/yummiest acas bowl for brunch! The AI picked up that I was shooting pictures of food and has really picked up on the vibrant colours of our brunch dishes... how impressive?!
NEXT STOP: THE FLORIST TO PICK UP A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS...

Another example of the AI picking up that I'm taking a picture of flowers so the camera can adapt accordingly to the subject you're shooting (it also picks up on cats, dogs, portraits, food and flowers - how incredible?!). I LOVED shooting in the flower mode - the images were SO vibrant!
LAST STOP OF THE DAY: SEAFRONT WALKS, PROSECCO & CAKE!

After a magical morning having brunch and a stop to the florist for some fresh blooms, we headed to the seafront for a nice walk (aka to walk off brunch!), then headed to our favourite seafront spot, the Roslin Beach Hotel for some prosecco (one glass actually turned into a bottle.. OOPS) and some delicious dessert - the perfect end to our day exploring gems right on our doorstep here in Essex!
