Flying With Norwegian: Premium Vs. Economy

Flying from London > LA with Norwegian and sharing the insiders scoop on travelling premium vs. economy!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATowards the end of May I flew to LA with Norwegian air (UMMM SORRY BUT HOW HAS IT BEEN NEARLY THREE MONTHS SINCE MY TREK AMERICA TRIP?!?!), you guys KNOW that I'm the biggest fan of Norwegian; they offer incredibly affordable fligths, but still with the quality, effeciency and service of higher priced airlines. I flew both Premium and Economy with Norwegian to LA and back so I could trial both services... here's the scoop!

I booked a flight with Norwegian back in February when I took a solo trip to New York and it cost me just £350 return all in, I was absolutely so chuffed and it was because of Norwegian that I was able to carry out my dream solo trip to my favourite city.. ever! Fast forward a few months and I'd flown with them to LA for my Trek America trip, to trial both their premium and economy services.

Ben and I are off to NYC and Boston next week (nope, no idea how that came around so quickly either... so unprepared!), and whilst I'm flying out with a friend and different airline I decided to book Ben a Norwegian flight to New York as I love the airline SO much. I decided to sneakily book him a premium seat as I genuinely can't rate it enough (and think it's bloody amazing value for money), so providing he doesn't read this blog post before boarding then he's in for a nice treat when he arrives at Gatwick next Thursday!

Now... let's talk all things Norwegian! If you're looking to book with Norwegian then first up, I 100000% recommend it, you guys know they are my favourite airline (yes, I have worked with Norwegian on flights previously, but I have also booked three flights out of my own money because I love their flights and services so much!). I'm absolutely SURE you guys have heard of Norwegian before, BUT if you haven't - they are the third largest low-cost airline in Europe and the seventh largest low-cost airline in the world (mental, huh?!).

Norwegian has grown to become the third largest airline at London Gatwick where it offers the UK's only direct low-cost flights to America - flights are available to New York, LA (can vouch for both - V good flights and SO affordable!), Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, San-Fransisco-Oakland, Seattle, Denver and Las Vegas (Booking our girls trip flights to Vegas next May with Norwegian and I cannot WAIT!). With one way fares starting from £139. This is not a drill! ONE WAY FARES FROM £139!!!! What would we do without Norwegian?!

I flew home from LA with Norwegian as I wanted to make the most of being able to enjoy leg space and trying to sleep before our Trek trip. The economy leg of my journey offers decent leg room, touch screen technology to order food and drinks straight to your seat.. HALLELUJAH for Norwegian! I love the fact that Norwegian is a budget airline but they go above and beyond to make your experience and comfortable and enjoyable as possible! I don't mind flying at all but I hate that feeling of 'uhhhh I have to spend the next 11 hours on a flight' BUT this flight whizzed by and luckily there was a spare seat next to me (every flyers dream, no?!), so I was able to stretch out and sleep.. BONUS! You can book your Economy flight with Norwegian HERE!

FLYING PREMIUM WITH NORWEGIAN...

I opted to fly to LA premium with Norwegian so I could make full use of the lounge (all premium flyers get access to the lounges - at London Gatwick this is No1 Lounge which provides complimentary food and drink, along with spectacular views of the runway. In LAX this is the One World lounge!), as well as enjoy the leg room to get a good sleep ahead of my Trek and also take advantage of the amazing complimentary drink service on board!

Premium flights start from £499 one way including all taxes and charges, if you're flying long haul then I would 10000% recommend it and can say that it's hand on heart worth every penny if you want to feel fresh when you land! I've booked Ben into premium as I know he'll feel so much more rested when we land and ready to dive straight into exploring NYC!
