How To Pack Your Hand Luggage Like A PRO
My top tips on how to pack your hand luggage for short trips like a PRO!
Booked a short haul fly but you're nervous because you only have a hand luggage allowance? Don't be! Once you've nailed the art to packing hand luggage you'll never look back. Here are my top 5 tips to packing like a PRO!1.) Toilettries - think about what you actually NEED: When it comes to toilettries it's SO easy to over pack. Think about what you actually NEED to take (most hotels have shampoo/conditioner and body wash so leave those out), pack a mini perfume, deodrant, moisturiser (you can pick up samples/sachets from most beauty counters). Also pick up some mini bottles from Primark to put your current products into which will save you shelling out on travel sized products.2.) Pack staple items: Think about where you're going then pack only staple items, pack one trusty pair of jeans and I'd say no more than two pairs of shoes (one of which you'll be travelling in). I flew to Iceland for four days on just hand luggage as was sure to pack thermals to keep me warm, one good pair of leggings/jeans, and a couple of jumpers. I wore my coat/snow boots to the airport to save room in my case.
3.) Roll your clothes: I've done this for as long as I can remember but roll your clothes rather than fold them, you honestly get SO much more in as you can pack everything really compact.4.) Sensible footware: If you're going on a city break pack walking shoes or comfy trainers, if you're off to a cold destination then pack snow boots, if you're off to the sun pack sandals. Sounds silly but sometimes it's so easy to pack innapropriate footware, because if you're being honest with yourself you're not really going to wear those heels are you?!5.) Wear your bulky items: As I mentioned in point 2, wear your bulky items to the airport to save room. When I went to Iceland I wore my chunkiest jumper, my big ski coat and snow boots to the airport, it's better to wear anythign bulky as it will take up too much room in your case. If you're planning on talking walking boots on your trip, wear them to the airport and pack your trainers/second pair of shoes.
