OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALet me paint a lil’ scene for you here. When we touched down to London Heathrow at 6.20am, I felt surprisingly fresh (having slept about a full 8 hours on and hour, I swear I can sleep anywhere, anytime haha!), myself and Ben have recently arrived home from an incredible 8 day holiday to Phuket, which yes, I’m afraid you’ll be hearing SO much more about soon, so feel free to stop reading this blog until January (I joke, PLZ don’t). We flew with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong in premium economy and today I want to share our incredible experience with you! On the flight back from Hong Kong, I watched Elf, Love Actually and had Haagen-Daz ice cream and champagne.. can I get a HELL YEAH for the best flight.. ever?!So, last week we arrived at Heathrow terminal 3 (I’ve actually only ever flown from terminal 3 about 6 years ago when I went to New York for the first time with my grandparents!), and it was just as lush as I remembered, once we’d checked in and dropped our SUPER heavy bags off (well mine anyway, coz girl gotta have options on holiday, no?!), then we headed for some shopping in duty free and grabbed a quick bite to eat before boarding the plane. We were actually allowed to board the flight first, so I could get some footage of the plane before everyone boarded (how cool is that?!), I had a mini tour of the plane from the lovely flight staff James. I was literally dribbling over first class, and once I’d picked my jaw up of the floor we took a tour of business class, premium economy and economy. I won’t go into too much detail on each class, and we flied Premium Economy so I can’t really comment much on the other classes as we didn’t fly them (other than each and every one looked incredible!), but you can see more on a tour of the plane and each class here if you’d like to have a closer look! With Premium Economy, the perks include increased baggage allowance, a wider seat and 8 inches to recline back so you can get some sleep, an amenity kit with toothbrush, socks and an eye mask, there is also a multi port connector where you can connect your ipad/phone and stream straight from there, oh and some noise cancelling headphones too.. winning!

Oh, and there's currently and EPIC SALE on with Cathay Pacific - you can book a return seat in Economy for just £419 - BOOK HERE, or a return with Premium Economy for £869 - BOOK HERE.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAs I previously mentioned we flew via Hong Kong, our flight from London to Hong Kong was around 12 hours, we then had just under 2 hours in the airport which absolutely flew by as we used the Business class lounge and HUBBA HUBBA it was just so dreamy! Rows upon rows of my favourite magazines to read, showers, coffee shop, noodle bar, free flowing champagne.. you name it, they got it! I was actually a little gutted that we only had 2 hours there (who’d have thought I’d ever be saying that I was gutted to leave an airport transfer!), and we boarded the next leg of our flight which was around 3 and a half hours to Phuket.I’m personally gutted that we didn’t get any time in Hong Kong as I’d actually really love to visit, the airport was so clean with the most incredible shops (I mean, you can just imagine it can’t you?!)! I’ve heard such amazing things about Hong Kong and would definitely spend a few days there next time! On the short haul flight we also flew premium which included incredible legroom and a delicious 3 course meal which was actually from the business class menu.. that’s a YES from me!Once we arrived in Phuket, both of us had a 2 hour nap and then no jet lag what so ever, I was so amazed! We were a little concerned on doing a long haul flight for an 8 day trip as we thought we’d be suffering from jet lag for at least 3 days.. but nope, nothing! This to me, warrants the extra money to fly premium as we really did feel so refreshed as we’d had the chance to sleep well on the flight and was ready to step straight into action once we’d arrived in Phuket. And OBV by ‘action’ I mean, lay on a sun lounger, read books, drink cocktails etc etc.Our flight home was equally as present, if not more so, as I slept around a solid 8 hours, watched Elf and Love Actually (two of my favourite Christmas films, EVER). I have to admit it was super weird spending the first few days of December in Thailand as my social feed was inundated with everyones festivities from decorations to Christmas markets, and well we were just on a beach, like Santa who? But on the way home I was ready to come back and decorate our tree, start wrapping my gifts for loved ones and sip on some mulled wine, so I was absolutely thrilled when I saw my FAV Christmas films on the TV’s.. WINNING.All in all, our fight and experience as a whole with Cathay Pacific was incredible, from start to finish. The staff genuinely couldn’t do enough for us, we had no queues, delays or waiting around. Everything ran super smoothly and on time, the comfort levels was through the roof, as was the food and catering. This was the first time that I’d flown with Cathay Pacific (who are a Hong Kong specialist airline in case you were wondering), but I can safely say they’ll be a sure fire for me in the future, especially travelling to anywhere in south east Asia or long haul as they were just AWESOME!
